This page will give the latest activities of our campaign.
There are two primary issues for the New Year to be organised at the next ASWAR meeting on Monday Jan 10 at 7.30pm in Churchover village hall. Everybody is welcome and encouraged to come along and give your practical help, it is now needed.
1) Rugby Borough planners have spent £18,000 on consultants from Cardiff to tell them where wind turbines can be built around Rugby. These consultants are reporting their views to a public meeting.
ASWAR is inviting everybody to join in having a photograph taken on the steps of Rugby town hall
at 7pm Thursday Jan 27 before this public meeting.
It is vital as many people as possible (children included!) show the politicians in a calm organised way that these turbines are not wanted by attending the photo opportunity.
2) We need to start collecting funds to support the publicising of our fight. Posters and banners need to bought and put up around the hedgerows and gardens etc. We are asking people to donate £10 per month by standing order and this needs to be communicated.
